Antiques Persian & Afghan Rugs
Art Jewellery

Red Fox Gallery is our small shop idyllically situated in North Dorset on Spire Hill Farm, close to the village of Stalbridge on the A357.

We wanted to get away from the idea that an antiques shop is a dark, overstuffed and overpriced place. We love colour, craftsmanship and quality but above all we believe in offering great value for money. In Red Fox you will find a varied and quirky selection, from a £5 tinplate toy to a gorgeous Arts and Crafts chest of drawers; a pine table to a Persian Tabriz carpet. We stock whatever makes us smile or thrills us; the unusual, the silly, or the sublime!

Our jewellery designer is Charlotte Cooke, a graduate from London Guildhall University. Charlotte is happy to design pieces to order and we also stock her range made from semi-precious stones and silver. Prices from only £8.

We have a workshop on site where we offer repairs, and in which Roger valiantly tries to wrench his mind away from sailing. (Our other favourite pastime is body boarding in Cornwall, just in case you were wondering what possible relevance the photo had above!).

Our great passion is our range of Persian and Afghan rugs, which we source with both quality and value in mind. We are often told how fantastic our rugs are, and we’ll do our utmost to find your rug in the size, type and colour that you need. We love our stunning Afghan Chobis and Caucasian Kazaks, but we also stock many others, up to the more traditional Tabriz, Isfahans and Kashans. Customer service is absolutely paramount to us, and we will always give a 100% refund should you discover that the rug does not suit your home. We can also deliver by arrangement. Prices start around £80.

As well as the shop you can find us at Dorchester Market on Wednesday (covered building), Bridport Market on Saturdays (by the Chapel in the Garden, but only if fine!) and at every Shepton Mallet Antiques Fair at the Royal Bath & West Showground (Mendip Hall 2).

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
